emotional rollercoaster

too shocked and upset after seeing this to concentrate on the other performances tonight.
the boys turned up.
jaechunsu look gorgeous as ever, but the expressions on their faces were sooo sad
it was heartbreaking to watch.
a part of me’s happy that they finally appeared in public, but a part of me’s worried as hell..
they shouldn’t have gone there because it’s an outright defiance of SME
and SME’s gonna use this situation against the boys
there’s a possibility they might take legal action against them for accepting the award on DBSK’s behalf..

ahh, okay finished soci of education paper today.
now for next week’s jap studies.

watching Mnet MAMA awards now. (yes, the name is lolzy)..waiting to see whether jaechunsu will turn up. and since SM boycotted it and Hyori Lee’s not turning up as well, it’ll end up being a YG carnival.sigh..

anyway I’m gonna pimp this site again. Omonatheydidnt
everytime I talk to someone about kpop, they tell me they surf allkpop.
then I recommend Omona, and they give me a look of disinterest.
sigh..
if you’ve been keeping up with kpop news for sometime, you should know that allkpop is pretty unreliable
and they steal news from Omona too.
plus haven’t once been a kpop blogger and have contacts of other kpop bloggers out there
we have all been “scouted” by the allkpop staff to write for them
and we all have rejected it, simply because allkpop writes articles to boost site traffic (note: the lolzy titles and the way the commentary is scripted)
it’s a business making website. writers are recruited and paid a certain amount once they reached a quota of articles written..
sorry, but I really don’t like the idea of this.
real kpop bloggers update their blogs for the love of it and the goal of spreading kpop..
plus we actually take our articles from actual news sources.
sad to say, allkpop does not.

The thing I love about Omona are the members there.
the comments are hilarious. and everyone’s nice to each other and respect the love for different bands
unlike the frequent bashing that appears on allkpop.

I still surf allkpop occasionally for updates. but these days, I simply take the news posted there with a pinch of salt unless a reliable source is stated.

even though SHINee didn’t perform tonight. but WOW. 2PM was amazing.
so dramatic, so heartfelt.
you can really feel their emotions strongly, the sense of loss and despair.
Jay needs to come back. I miss dorky 2PM.

the choreography was still lolzy at some parts, and I DNW Nichkhun’s hair.
but I loved loved loved the intro.

so I woke up to news that Korean model, Daul Kim was found dead this morning in Paris.
I can’t believe it..she’s only 20 years old
plus she just updated her blog yesterday with a Jim Rivers track!
so I guess she probably committed suicide a few hours later?
sigh. TT.TT

I got to know her through the occasional snippets posted on Omona.
not a huge fan, but I do admire how free spirited and outspoken she was
she isn’t a mainstream model, but I love her photoshoots. They’re always so daring and unique.
plus she isn’t some shallow dimwitted model.
I mean.. she reads Tolstoy. that’s enough to prove my point.

BUT why her of all people?
she was always the one who stood up to haters in her blog entries.
even Korean netizens couldn’t bring her down then.

I get pissed everytime I read “Education for Submission” by Christopher Tremewan..
probably because I agree with the author so much
he brought up so many negative aspects of our education system
and how it’s designed under the guise of meritocracy and bilingualism to serve our racist state.
